What is an essay?
Essay is a thematic , focussed, elevated , analytical and creative write up on sometopic expressing an author ‘s view.
Essay should be reliastic and logical .it should not be cinametic.

Essay can be partitioned into 3 parts :
Introduction
Body of essay
conclusion
Body of essay:
1) Essay is self contained and a complete write up in itself. Multidimensional content is needed and avoid repeated content in the essay .
2) The point of a argument and exploration of dimension of theme and inferences drawn should be organically connected as an evolving body like an evolutionary process from chilhood, through adolescence, youth to maturity.
Introduction and conclusion:
· Essay may reach a final point of conclusion, a certain stand or ends up with only some amount of certainly , still keeping open new vistas on the issues.
· Essay is also a critical assessment of prevalent views on a subject and related aspects to make a value judgement or to take a stand and reach a conclusion.
· An essay is not a plain statement of facts , events,or phenonmemon, but an assessment of points and counterpoints on them with reasoning, causation and way forward.
Do's and don’t in essay:
Do's:
· Structure , presentation, content these three features give the 80% + 20% of practise of essay gives the best of the essay.
· Structure your answer writing :
♦ Brain stroming- writing the rough draft of the essay.like introduction , conclusion, subtopics.
♦ Use diagrams and maps as well. You can (save a concepts)-save the examiner from the monotony of the reading text all the time.
♦ Number your figures, tabless or graphics and use that number for references in your answer. this gives an impression of a person very systematic . And name the diagram .
♦ Multidimentional answer approach is adviceable. Use subtopics in the body of the essay.
♦ If there is a quote or proverb which suits the essay question perfectly then use it in the body of the essay. Minimum 3 to 4 quotes or proverb is adviced.

Orgaizing the answer is mandatory in the essay writing .
Don’t:
· Avoid long backgrounds:
avoid giving a long back ground, come to the topic as soon as possible. Don’t deviate from the topic.
· Avoid repeatation content and there need a flow of content.
· Avoid beginning a paragraph by borrowed opinions or quotes and even in the conclusion also.
· Avoid gramatical mistakes in the paragraph and importantly essay shouldn’t repeat the points . We can use subtopics.
· Avoid political and ideological biases.
· Neutrality and freedom from prejudice and bias are benchmark of rationalilty.
· Political or ideological afflication should not influences your writing . But only facts real life observation and established wisdom should guide you to logical evolution and conclusion of the write up.
· Don’t lose emotional control .
· Read the question carefully again and again understand the demand of the question and the content.
· Break the question and give equivalent content answer for each part of the question.
· Don’t be unbalanced and biased .
Essay should contain the broad introduction and conclusion . It should also contain both the positive and negative points . It should be unbiased content.
conclusion can bagged by any government report , include the judgement related to the question.
